Renter-Friendly Gallery Wall Planning

Plan the wall before you commit

You can make a rented home feel considered without treating every wall as permanent. Start by choosing one area that needs a focal point—above a sofa, along a hallway or in a first living room—and work from the room’s available space rather than buying prints individually.

Choose a format that suits the wall

  • One statement print gives a wide, simple wall a clear focal point.
  • A duo suits a more compact space where you want balance without filling the wall.
  • A trio brings rhythm to a hallway, landing or longer wall.

See our duo, trio and statement-print guide for help choosing the format.

Check the print information first

Wall, Sorted. prints are supplied unframed. Check the individual product page for the number of prints and their dimensions before choosing frames or planning placement. Our Prints, Delivery & Returns page explains the format, delivery support and return route.

Make a simple paper plan

Before hanging anything, mark the intended arrangement on the wall with removable paper templates cut to the listed print sizes. Stand back from the normal viewing point and adjust the spacing until the arrangement feels balanced in the room.

Choose a hanging method carefully

Use a hanging method appropriate to your wall surface, the frame you choose and your tenancy agreement. If you use removable products, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and test a discreet area first. Wall, Sorted. does not supply hanging hardware.

Start with a ready-made set

Choosing a coordinated set reduces the number of decisions: the artwork already works together, while you retain control over frames and placement. Explore Gallery Wall Sets, First-Flat Living Room Wall Art and Small-Space & Narrow-Wall Art.
